I have a 1938 Ford Deluxe Tudor when i don't stat the car for two weeks or more it creates a gas flow problem i crank pushing the gas pedal and even using the choke then i pour a little gas in the carburetor and it will start and go off then after doing this five times it will stay on run good the rest of the day turning it on and off and this only happens when its not started for two week any recommendations or fixes.

This is not an uncommon problem when a car has sat idle/unused for awhile. Usually this happens because the gas in the carb has evaporated or the carb has an internal leak....

MG is mostly right,it will evaporate in 2 weeks of standing. What happends if you try to start it after 4-5 days of sitting, same thing would most likely a power valve or its gasket is leaking. If that's the case smell your dipstick for gas smell. I have the good modified PV an super nylon gasket if you need. ken ct 1-203-260-9780

The fuel pump should prime the carburetor even after sitting for a couple of weeks. Your fuel pump is showing signs of a vacuum leak on the input side of the fuel pump. I just emptied the carbureror bowl and glass sediment bowl on my 40 last week to get rid of debris in them. It took 3 30 second tries of the starter to fill the carburetor bowl.

Check the line from the tank to the fuel pump for loose fittings, bad flex line, rubber hose connected with hose clamps and if your car has the glass sediment bowl, the sediment bowl gasket could be leaking. If you have the all metal fuel pump, the top gasket could be leaking, but I don't know where you could get a replacement.

If all of the above are good, it is time to check your fuel delivery using a graduated container. See this topic:

I have ALL the sizes of cork gaskets for the pumps from the "B" pump to the 53 glass bowl including all the metal pumps. ken ct. Also the small one under the top bolt.
