Topic: Trunk Material

Had my Club Cabriolet judged at the Western Meet and one of the things I got points taken off for was no rubber mat in the trunk. I can't find any info on what it is supposed to look like or where to get it. Any ideas?

I didn't see any listed in my catalog collection. That model was fairly rare, and probably not enough survived to justify reproduction. We have made mats using ribbed rubber sold by flooring stores or other outlets. Just make a cardboard template of the trunk floor and cut to fit.

Sometimes if it's a rare car they just don't make them. I searched for a couple of years for the rear cargo area mat for my '46 Station Wagon and literally found one by accident at Hershey.

I can not find the info now but there is/was an outfit in CA that makes custom rubber mats. Using the word "mats" or "floor mats" one would have to search the Club forum here and the forum at the Ford Barn to find the info.

Try this outfit .... its said they do custom orders

I e-mailed Don Rogers with pictures of what was in the trunk and he said what I have is period correct. No rubber or carpet. Thank you Don
