once again i need some help with my 34 5w. i have a few wiring harnesses for my car and am having trouble installing one on it. i put the tube with the tabs for the bail in the bottom of the steering column, then i put the piece with two bolts on the bottom of the steering column(the body with the contacts slides into it).does the slot in the piece go up or down? i have the body and bail installed temporarily and it seems that the drivers side headlite wires are too short. the wires that continue to the passenger side also seem too short. where do these wires run?
advise/help
thanks a bunch
bob

The tab and cutout are toward the bottom. The wire harness exits the light switch going upward. The headlight wires run along the bottom of the radiator. The connection point for the headlight harness to the light harness is at the bottom of the radiator RH & LH sides.

  thanks,
i must have something wrong, either have the wrong harness or wrong pigtails from my lite buckets. i can not see anyway that the wiring from the bottom of the steering box will reach to hook to the wiring from the lite buckets. i measured from the L lite wires to the R wires and it is about 27 inches. don't see how it will fit under radiator from L to R. may have to make up a separate switch and wire that way.
thanks again for your help

Here is a link to a drawing showing how the wiring should be routed.

  thanks,
i was able to enlarge the diagram for the wiring and it is better than other copies that i have. looks like the harness to the lites comes out of the body/contact plate assembly on the bottom of steering column and across top of frame and connects to the bullet connectors of the L headlite. from there it appears to go in front of distributor/back of radiator to the R headlite and connect to those bullet connectors.
My problem seems to be that the harness wire to the L lite and then R lite are too short. i have it on the lift so i will check it again.
appreciate all help
