I'm working on a vacuum trico windshield wiper motor, cleaning it ,removing years of gunk from inside, and going back together . Does anyone know what lubrication is used in it and how much is required.

When you have the motor apart, you can use Vaseline or now they have silicone lubricants that will not dry out and would probably work better. I think that the plumbers silicone grease might work very good as it is water proof and does not harden and has the ability to creep into tight spaces. I lubed the motor on my 40 in 1990 with Vaseline and it is still working good. I have to exercise it every spring to get it going, but then it works fine all summer. Tom
