Topic: Battery connection reversed

I purchased an original 37 ford about 5 months ago. When I received the car I immediately put about 200 miles on it. It started and drove fine. Recently it has not started and when I put a charger on the battery I noticed that the cables had been reversed with the positive connection on the ground. I'm amazed that the car even ran this way. Does anyone know if I have caused additional damage to the electoral system of the car?

The car is correct with a positive ground. Ford's were built that way for years.
