Topic: Mufflers

Here's a tip: Waldron exhaust,LLC has all kinds of mufflers and made in.... not China, not Taiwan, not India, made in CANADA!!!I got one for my 1940 for $80.00 and it's Aluminized!! They have them in S.Steel too for $300.
Another tip: Want to burn out your muffler? Just start the car,let it run a few minutes, and shut it off. That's not hot enough to burn the water out of it and that will ruin it in no time!!!Take it for a 10 mile round trip!!!

And because you have a dollar that is worth something you get a better deal than if we order from Waldron from up here.

Yea Steve , Waldron made me a dual set for my 36 coupe many yrs ago and from the original owner ,who I knew very well. NOTHING FIT ,had to have a Midus Muffler Shop cut and weld back together all of it. OME ken ct.

Sorry to hear that. I had a local muffler shop put the one on my Forty. I watched him and it went on pretty good. I have to agree tho, nobody can make things that fit right like Ford did. They tell you that they use original patterns, drawings and molds, but it always requires a little adjusting here and there, no matter. It's a darn shame!!

I drilled a small hole, 3/16 in. at the lowest point of the muffler to drain any residual water. Every so often I check it to see that it is open.

This was not a minor adj. It was many major cuts through and reposition. ken ct.
