  140 should be sufficient, and usually will work well in colder climates, and still permit easy gear shifting. If you are trying to reduce leakage, a heavier grade probably won't change it much, if any. The real fix is to replace worn seals and gaskets. Not easy, but necessary.

  Last I checked less expensive at Amazon.com and free shipping pending order size. I use StaLube .... 140 in banjo and 90 to help shifting.
