Hello, Please see attached pic of my 37 Fordor, left front door. The check strap metal piece lends itself to rattling quite a bit. Is there supposed to be some kind of rubber/felt cushion embedded in the hole that goes through the door? From the pic (yellow circled area), it looks like there is some remnants of something, maybe it is felt like? I haven't dug it out. You can see I have replaced the rubber bumper stop piece and lined the metal strap with some light heat shrink tubing, hoping to minimize any rattling.
