Hi, Does anyone know where the speedo cable goes through the firewall on a 37 ford? Many Thanks,Neil.

It does not go "through" the firewall to the engine compartment. It stays on the interior side of the firewall (dash as Ford calls it) and pops out down lower near the brake pedal to the clamsh*ll area where the speedo gear is. Hello, Are these pictures and discussion about the emergency (hand) brake cable? Rather than the speedo cable? I just finished routing all my brake stuff and the pictures look like where/how I routed the brake cable. The speedo cable on my Ford (37) is routed through a hole in the firewall (dash), just above one of the body frame mounts. BTW, my brake cable is about twice the heft of the speedometer cable. Shucks. 37 Delivery, you might be right. That is the park brake cable. I was tossed by this photo. I thought the cable here was going to the speedo gear. Speedo cable is much thinner. Didn't mean to steer the guy wrong. . . . 78-730B This message was edited by TonyM on 6-25-17 @ 9:33 PM

Hi Tony and 37 Delivery, Sorry to take so long to say thanks for your info. Just to be clear, Does the speedo cable goes through the firewall where the other electrical cables go through a large rubber grommet? And where does the hand brake cable go through the wooden board? Thanks again. Neil.
