I have just brought back my family's 39 pickup from California. Having problems getting it running and looking for a local shop. I am in Frederick Maryland. If anyone has a suggestion would you please let me know? Thanks

Pat, as I have said many times, contact a local Regional Group of the Early ford V-8 Club. They have a good idea of who has enough knowledge and does quality work to repair your car.

Also, if you wish to do the repairs yourself, they can help you with that. Even if you never have turned a wrench and do not intend to learn how, belonging to a Regional Group will help you learn about your car, so that you are not taken advantage of, when repairs are needed.

There are 2 Regional Groups near you and here are links to their sites. I suggest that you get to know people in both groups and then decide which one that you would like to join.

Thanks Tom. I am just new to flat heads. I drove the truck and maintained it but that was 25 years ago. Had some issues with distributor re[laced all the parts but still have a spark issue. Just want to get her back on the road and don't have much time. Really appreciate the help.
