Topic: 1941 Vent Gear Replacement

I have a 1941 Super Deluxe Convertible that has a vent window gear that is missing a few teeth. I bought a repair kit from C&G. I was told that remove the rivets and the assemble will drop out. I have removed the rivets and no luck. The appears to be a bolt and nut that attaches to a sheet metal bracket in the door. The nut is pretty well rusted and hard to get to. Has anyone removed the vent window regulator/assembly?. Am I going about this wrong?

I have also 1941 super deluxe with vent that came attached incorrect. Is there any chance that you can send me a diagram or picture of how assembly should be made. Ford103041@gmail.com thk u

We use the gear kit from C&G. It includes the gear, spring and rivets. The original rivets must be drilled out and the body of the assembly separated. The kit is for 41-48, part #11A-7023402. The job takes time and patience. A very good way to get an unfamiliar job completed is to take photos of the part as you disassemble it so you will have an understanding of what goes where.
