Topic: 1948 Tudor interior lights

I have a 1948 Super Deluxe Tudor. The interior lights on the door post are in poor condition. Can anyone tell me if they are supposed to chrome or painted. Thanks

In the fine '41-'48 book published by the Club, on page 3-24 it says "rear lamps were located on the door pillars with silver painted bezels, and switches mounted on the right pillar". If you don't have this book, it is well worth the price for any owner of a car of those years.

Thanks for the info. Is it a shiny or dull finish?

The book doesn't specify, but I'd use a good quality metallic type silver paint, applying several light coats.

I have a 1948 tudor that is a trophy winner. The interior side lights are painted an aluminum silver color with a moderate sheen.
