Does anybody know if there is an aftermarket AM/FM radio that bolts into the 40 and runs on 6V/Negative ground system? I don't want to switch to 12v. Philip, Do you have an existing stock radio in your car? There are vendors who can add an FM module to an existing radio. Ken

I am not sure if you just made a typo, but your Ford should be POS ground. You do not need a working radio, if you want to have a FM tuner. There are modules that provide the AM/FM radio that can be hooked up to the original 1940 controls in an original 1940 case. A working 1940 radio will cost more than $300 and you can buy a core for much less and have the conversion made. I have no idea of how much the conversion will cost and can't refer you to a vendor that does this. Tom

Yes, it was a typo. Yup, a positive ground, 6 volt system. I would gladly pay $300 for a nice working radio. Anybody know a source for a decent 40 Ford stock radio?
