I have an original Edelbrock Slingshot manifold. Along with 2 Edelbrock Regular intakes. All block letters. How good do these intakes work? What is the value of these? Are these pre war or post war?

Vic Edelbrock made these starting in 1938. It was one of his first products. The "idea" was you didn't have to move the generator mount to the left cylinder head to use one.

They were very popular in their day, and they work well. Not as "well in a racing application as the Edelbrock "Super", but very well for a street application.

The old "vintage" block-lettered Edelbrock manifolds and cylinder heads have a "collector interest", as some Hot Rod and race car restorers are like EV8CA folks in that they want stuff that is "period correct" on their restorations. I have no idea whether your's is pre-war or post war, as they made them during both time periods, and they don't carry serial numbers to allow for positive dating.

Edelbrock Equipment Company has "re-introduced" the Slingshot recently to fill the demand for this interesting design. The "new ones" will accommodate a number of different configuration carburetors depending upon which "top" you choose.

Here's a photo of the "current" Slingshot.
