Topic: 1936 spare tire lock

Does the spare tire lock from a 36-39 pick up work for a passenger car. From the photos I have seen it looks like it might. Does anyone know for sure?
Thanks

I have had a '36 & 37 Ford pickups with the spare tire mount on the right side of the bed. I have owned my '36 Ford for over sixty years.
H. Ford, being the thrifty person he was known to be most likely used the same lock assembly from '36-39 due to the wheels being the same, However, the only sure way to find out is to get hold a lock assembly and try it on your vehicle.
It just might be that an earlier lock, '35-33 might work better because the wire wheels did not have full wheel covers..
