I Have a 1934 Deluxe Roadster, the front seat brackets are painted tan. The exterior of the car is coach maroon. What is the correct color for the metal brackets? I have seen exterior color and well as tan. I am restoring to factory.

If it is an early to mid-year roadster those seat side brackets (whose purpose is to fill the gap between the seat bottom cushion and the B pillar) were copra drab to match the seat upholstery material. If it is a late roadster, then the color would be taupe to match the late phaeton/roadster upholstery material. I am assuming that you mean the panels with the writing on them in the photo below. The forged bracket immediately behind that panel that supports the B pillar was painted body color.
