I need carpet for the floor of the back seat in my '38 Club Coupe. Using Google I haven't found anything for the Club Coupe, but did find that Obsolete and Classic Auto Parts lists some for the two-door sedan. It looks like they could be made to work. I don't know anything about the company and before I open any dialog with them I thought I'd ask here for your wisdom and opinions. I seem to remember the rear carpet in older cars was a course fiber weave, we used to call it cocoa mat. I don't have to have original, the rest of my car isn't, but I think the coarse mat would look great. Suggestions welcome.

I would try a local upholstery shop. They can order any carpet that you like and can cut and bind the 3 pieces needed for the back seat area. Tom

I might have to go local, but I prefer to order in and install it myself. I see that the '38-'39 book calls the original "hogshair". I don't remember seeing any original on a car this old, but my '50 had rear carpet that must be very similar.
