Topic: Replacement OEM aluminum head

I have a 34 that has a seepage from the head in the spark plug area. It was fix with JB weld. I would like to purchase and replace the head. Who makes a OEM style head and where can one be purchased. I'm not looking to replace it with an aftermarket performance style. I want to keep it original as possible.

I got the heads for my '34 at Kearney Pattern Works in San Jose, CA
They advertise in the V8 Times....

Click on this link > http://kearneyfoundry.com/

REPLICA CASTINGS: "Kearney Pattern Works & Foundry manufactures exact duplicate cylinder heads for 1933-1936 Ford V8's, as well as a finned "Hot Rod" version. We manufacture exact duplicate finned cylinder heads for V-12 Lincoln flatheads, as well as a custome 3 carburetor intake manifold. These products are commonly sold to individuals who restore cars and require the very best when entering shows."

I finally replaced my last original aluminum head with a cast iron one with aluminum paint. Looks great, but I know it's not right. Anybody know approximate cost of theses new heads?

1934 Ford's since 1972

I paid Kearney $1500.00 for the set I have on my '34 back in 2015....

Does the anti freeze leach thru the aluminum heads? The area doesnt look like it is cracked. Second cylinder above the spark plug.

"Does the anti freeze leach thru the aluminum heads?"

I've never heard of such a thing. Looks like you might have some seepage around/from the stud above that cylinder....

I agree it is most likely seepage from the stud above changing the head will not correct this. I would suggest some engine cooling system sealer like Bars Leak.

Update, note leak in the sparkplug area, on the other head there was a leak dead center between plugs on the flat part of the head. Yes the aluminum head has corroded or had two bad castings.

I install new new heads this weekend and they look great, even have the Ford script on them.
