  old Henry's latest trip on Fordbarn. I ate many a English muffins and coffee at old Mcddermets diner as it was called in the early 50's, born in 39 in fall river ma.They were the best of times. I lived about 4 blocks from the diner. ken isidor. My old neibor hood is all but wiped out now with new road const. bridges and such. ken ct. Thanks Henry for the trip back.

  Ken CT and Old Henry .... Off the pavement and on to the water, thanks for bringing back some good memories for me of a worthy subject - Fall River MA. In 2004 my then Boy Scout son, his entire Scout Troop, myself and other Troop officials, drove 5 hours in four vans to visit Fall River for two days. The retired Battleship USS Massachusetts is permanently berthed there as a public exhibit. The group that owns the ship were generous to the point that they invited the entire Scout Troop to eat meals on-board the ship and they had us sleep in the (restored) sailor's hammocks down-below. All that and participating in tours of the ship.

I encourage anyone of any age, who visits the area to tour the city and the ship.
