Can anyone recommend a vendor to repair and restore my Ford radio? I thought I saw an ad in one of the V8 Times last year, but can't find it now. The vendor was in Nashville Tn. Couldn't find him or the business through common searches. Who would you all recommend?
Thanks for the help.

  Hi----
There was a prior Forum discussion of this same subject beginning on 12-24-16. I put my two cents in, stating that I had my radio repaired by Bob's Radio and TV Service - (805) 489-8200 - www.bobsradio.com. Good results. But they are located in Southern California, so shipping costs could be an issue for you.
Other members gave excellent suggestions about checking with the Regional Group in Nashville for a reference.
I checked Hemmings Motor News. There is an ad for Old Car Radio in Harrison, TN - (423) 344-8357 - oldcaradio 1 @bellsouth.net. I was never any good in geography - is Harrison anywhere near Nashville? Could that be the firm you are looking for?
Good Luck.
Tom

I had my radio converted to AM/FM. Trying to suppress ignition noise is almost always less than satisfactory in AM. With FM you not only get clear reception, but music instead of garbage. My radio looks absolutely stock, and the solid state uses less power. Mine was done 25 years ago, but there are good shops listed in the V8 TIMES.

Thanks for the help. I'll check out the shop in Harrison as well as trying to find the 12/24 post.
