Measure and compare the length of the tail shaft housings and the mountings.

Check and make sure your frame will accommodate the transmission. If I'm not mistaken the Victoria frame is the same as the convertible. The convertible x frame gets in the way of a sedan od solenoid. The solenoid is mounted differently on a convertible od to allow room for the solenoid. I'm calling it the solenoid it might be the governor not sure. Good luck.

The '53 has a swinging clutch. The '51 has to have a boss on the transmission shift housing to accommodate the floor clutch linkage.

Thanks for the info, what is the swinging clutch ?? and boss on the transmission shift housing ?? will the 6 V solenoid off the 51 work with a 12 V system with out harm to it my 51 has Ben change to 12 V Thanks

The '53 has brake/clutch pedals that mount up under the dash. The '51 has pedals that mount on the frame. If you have a '51 slip up under it and look where the clutch linkage attaches to the shift cover.

I've heard of people using 6V solenoids on 12V for years with no problems.
