Topic: 36 Horn Wiring

I need to replace the wiring that comes out of the two horns on my 36 Ford. Do the wires hook up to the horn motor assembly by attaching with the two flat head screws on the back or are they supposed to be soldered to the two posts that stick out?

The wiring I’m replacing isn’t stock and they are soldered onto the posts. However the replacement stock wiring I got has two ring terminals making it seem that they should by attached with the two screws. Maybe the ring terminals are for a later year horn?

I just want to make sure I do it right!

If the original wires were soldered, I'd do the same. Most wiring harnesses are made to serve several models and have to be modified to match the wiring on the vehicle, in many cases.
