You did not post your location. I believe in the USA that would be illegal

When I rebuilt my '48, I took the speedometer[ which I had bought at a swap meet] apart, re arranged odometer numbers to all zeros, a put it back together. It is rather tedious work, but can be done if you take your time and have patience.

This is a Meteor Canadian Car , yes I am Canadian eh. This is not illegal in Canada, as long as you can support the fact that the motor is rebuilt and the car is restored. I have taken the odometer out Ther wheel comes out easy, and one can line up the 00000 however putting it back is anotherthing. Just to keep the wheel from turning is impossible.

No mater what everything is illegal. So you buy a NOS one . goes like this my car
my speedometer on -0- for new engine. When we rebuild lets say industrial
engine, it gets a new hour meter (but that ok) Hope the new guy fires them natzi
dopes.....However it does take account for a newer vehicals that I can see, maybe a
80,000 rental that gets turned back to 15,000 old lady school teacher Yes thats
not right. Thats why I said Natzi cops they have no logic just the book and the book
has no logic. Illegal ; turn back the odometer, come on, a 90 old model T?
I wouldn't worry about it. Just say speedometer cable busted 60 yrs ago....
