1937 Flatback. Does anyone know if they make the panel that is below the deck lid with cut outs for the bumper brackets?

check with Drake. I used an EMS panel on the back of a coupe and there were no bumper holes. I suspect all their panels have no bumper holes. I cut holes in the panel , but did not cut them all the way down to aid in strength of the panel. I had to feed the irons through the holes to mount them, but the rubbers covered the fact that I did not cut the holes all the way down. I also found that the lip for the weatherstrip was too wide and I had to trim it back. Not a bad panel , but it does require some modifications.

I replaced my tail pan and inner toolbox on my slant back with EMS sheet metal. I called about the slots for the bumper brackets. The reason they don't cut them in is that every restoration is different. It would be harder to fit the panel and line up the slots for the brackets. I'am not a pro at body work, the only thing I would like to stress is take your time. Measure twice and cut once. Good luck. Bruce
