I just found a slight water pump leak on the right one. These have the grease fitting so I want to upgrade to the newer pump. Is it better to change both at same time? Also need to know the best one out there since I know they have made improvemnts and where to buy.
Thanks guys

What year is the car and are the pumps and their pulleys correct for your year? If your not sure try posting a photo of the pumps. Do you have a special purpose pump such as a 35-6 LH pump on a 34 or earlier car for the temperature port? Skip rebuilds your pumps and send yours back to you, you have to lube the pumps over time. Fryers, Drakes and others you get new castings you do not have to lube.

I'd also suggest you have George rebuild your pumps. Perhaps a bit more costly than reproductions, but they will be rebuilt correctly. The poopy made in China (sold by Drake, etc.) I would be very suspicious of.

I was thinking the quality newer pumps would have better flow but if it's junk I don't want it. Do you have Skip's contact info?
