Topic: '36 INTERIOR HEADER PANEL REMOVAL?

Although I installed header panel over windshield many years ago, it's not obvious to me how I remove it.
Where do I begin?

  Flathbob-

I have done this countless times with my '35 which should be similar to your '36.

If it is an early '36 peal back a few inches the hide-um welt above the doors. I don't believe late the '36 has the welt

Remove mirror

Remove the two windshield moldings It wouldn't hurt to put masking tape at the juncture of the molding and dash,. Very easy to scratch the dash with molding removal.

Remove the windshield wiper knob

Remove the sheet metal screws that hold the header panel to the tack rail. Once the screws are removed tilt the panel back slightly and disconnect the three radio speaker wires.

Remove panel

This should do it.

I am probably forgetting something . I am sure others will add to this list.
