Topic: Gas Gauge, wiper , windshield, 1934 Cabriolet

  1. I bought a NOS gas gauge for my 1934 Ford Cabriolet. I found two what I believe are calibration rods in the supply tube. I have read a lot on the internet about how the gauge works except for how it is calibrated if needed. Can anybody tell me or give me a reference? 2. Does anybody know where I can get a windshield wiper motor for my cabrio at a reasonable price, or just the shaft, which is slightly longer than for other 34's. How does the windshield come out of a cabrio? My frame is painted in and I'm wondering if could come out the back, toward the inside of the car? Thanks in advance to all who answer.

There is no source of information on the calibration rods in the fuel gauge. I believe they are somewhat like bricks in a toilet tank. Just leave them in place, they are not critical, and make sure the small tube from the hex shaped brass tank to the glass tube is open and will pass air before installation. Usually the fuel gauge were shipped from Ford with fluid inside and it can harden and block the tube. For wiper repair contact:
