I own a 1951 ford victoria and spare engine from a 1952 P/U. ? are these engines a direct swap. If not what must add or delete to put the P/U engine in my 51 ford? Thanks.

To my knowledge all you have to change are the water pumps. Use the bell housing and clutch assembly from the Victoria. As I recall the cars use the narrow fan belt(s), so if the truck motor used the wide belts you need to use the generator, fan assembly and the crank pulley from the Victoria. I think that should cover it.

I think the oil pans are different .

The oil pans are different which makes the oil pump pick-up tube and the dip-stick different. The oil filler tube on top of the intake manifold may be a different length. The water pumps (and the belts) and the motor mounts are different, the cooling fan mount is different, the exhaust manifolds are different, and, of course, the carburetor is different where the air cleaner mounts.
