Topic: Stamping on Firewall

The firewall of my 1938 DeLuxe fordor has the following stamped (drive's side):
L 1 b or 6 7 4. The stamping appears as if each character was individually stamped. Is this an assembly identification?

  Hi Ray
My name is John from England. This is my first post on the forum, so here goes. I have a Model 48 Phaeton and during restoration I found the numbers 101 stamped on the left hand side of the firewall. On inspecting my Model 60 I found the numbers 4447 stamped on the right hand side of the firewall. Both cars are RHD Dagenham assembled cars. I also have been unable to identify what they mean. Hopefully I have attached some photos.

John, thanks for your post. I forgot to attach my pic of the stamping. Here it is. Maybe this will get a dialogue started.
