is it alright to mount an oil filled tube coil facing down or do they have to be facing up ? i have the coil adapter for the helmet dizzy i can use and want to mount a tube coil on the firewall till i can get the original sent out to skip in Fla. thanks. When I did this on my '34, I laid the coil on its side and mounted it to the frame rail...No problem....

Sending coil to Fl. will only take a week fom my expeience. I have just laid a temp coil between the head and intake. Worked for me. jmo.

Should work facing down. They did it on all Model As.
