Topic: Pickup box side panels

Working to finish my 1936 Pickup. In attaching the box side panels (the panels that go between the box side and the running board), I know that the fastener that is exposed is a #8 32 slot screw, but what is used for the 3 fasteners that hold the top edge of the panel to the bottom edge of the box? Thought about slot screws for those also, but there is not way that you can get a screwdriver into the space above the box edge to tighten. Enclosed picture is of the panel on another vehicle.

I know they are not stock , but I used button head allen screws on my 41 pickup. You can get an angle head allen wrench in there to hold them and use an open end wrench to tighten the nut on the bottom.

Thanks Tom. Good idea. You are right, they dont and wont show unless you have a judge with a head the size of an grapefruit to fit up in there to see.
I was thinking of finding some brass bolts and then with a open end on the top and a tall socket on the bottom to tighten. They really dont support any thing but were just a cover up for the frame. (oh, gee, now everyone knows)
