what is the best way to splice together a upper radiator hose pieces to build one for my 39 ford pickup. MAC's antique parts has every hose but for my 39 flathead truck. I did find NAPA has a 1 3/4 flex hose the right length that I'll have to expand over the 1 7/8 head flange. Thanks, Rob

I use short pieces of exhaust tubing or plastic pipe to splice them together. As soon as I get the right configuration I take it to Napa Auto parts and look for a late model hose with the same curves, diameter, etc.Sometimes you have to buy a hose that is too long and cut off the excess. I prefer to use molded hoses and not flex hoses. Flex hoses just don't look right to me.
