What is the correct engine block color , for 1950 Ford F-1 flathead v-8 ?

It is a medium dark red. I never found anyone who could really tell me what the color is. I have heard it called a "high saturation" red, whatever that is. Just pick one you like if you can't find one to look at. Here's what mine looks like in a picture. It looks a little darker than that in person. If you have a 2013 Hemmings truck calendar, go to June and you can see a truer copy. Same as the '51. They were all red '48-'52. Richard
