Can the lever shocks for a '48-'52 F4-F6 trucks be rebuilt? I have a set of front shocks on a '51 F5 parts frame that I might install on my '49 F4,but one of them is leaking. They both still feel good, so they may just need new seals and an oil change. Are the parts and proper oil still available?
Thanks, Mark Poley

Rebuilding lever shocks is not a "do it yourself" project. It takes special equipment and experience. Rebuilts are available, and a reputable firm, such as Apple Hydraulics can give you more info. They have a web site.
