I HAVE A '53 F100 WITH THE 8RT FLATHEAD AND ORIGINAL FORDOMATIC TRANSMISSION. IT WAS MADE IN THE KC, MISSOURI PLANT. I'M LOOKING FOR ANY CLUES THAT MAY LEAD ME TO BETTER UNDERSTAND HOW MANY '53 F100S WERE PRODUCED WITH THE FORDOMATIC OPTION AND/OR HOW I MAY ACCESS FORD ARCHIVES IN THIS REGARD EITHER FROM THAT PLANT OR ALL FORD PRODUCTION THAT YEAR. I OCCASIONALLY RUN THIS QUESTION UP THE FLAG POLE TO SEE IF ANYONE OUT THERE CAN HELP MAKE IT FLY. WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM ANYONE THAT CAN HELP OR HAS ONE OF THESE TO GET AN IDEA OF HOW MANY HAVE SURVIVED.

Here is a link to the Archives. You will have to pay for any research and they may not have the information that you are looking for due to the fire at the Rotunda.

I know of mine and two others that are active on various flathead sites. well, now, 3 others with yours. Mine is also from kc. originally meadow green. also had electric wipers and a dealer add radio. I should have a motor in it again soon.
