Topic: 1949 truck heater switch wiring

My '49 F4 truck has a 3 door heater. The heater switch and cable are the same as the '46 cars. I need to replace the wires from the switch to the motor. Does anyone know where I can buy the 4 slide terminals to connect the motor wires and the power lead to the heater switch. Thanks, Mark Poley

  Mark,
If it is the same heater and switch as in the 46 car, both Mac's and C & G sell the complete wiring harness. I do not know if this is what your question is, but I hope it helps.

Most good hardware stores and home centers sell terminal kits with many connectors and a tool to apply them. It is a very handy thing to have when working on old cars. Terminals, themselves, are also usually sold in small quantities, if a full kit isn't needed.

Thanks for the replies. I found some terminals that will slide on the tabs of the heater switch. They are not exactly like the original terminals. They actually look like the ones on the Mac's heater motor wiring. They fit the tabs real snug so I think they will work fine. Thanks again, Mark Poley
