Hello The wooden packing blocks that are placed between the chassis and cab have started to collapse. I need to make replacements and have two questions. 1. What wood are these made from? Oak? 2. Does anyone have templates /patterns for these, as i would like to make replacements and insert in one operation. Thanks for any help Hudson Biggs, New Zealand

We use oak, but any hardwood will do.. If you have an old one for a pattern, it makes the job easier. Otherwise , it is a matter of trial and error. The idea is to get the cab sitting even, of course, which is most evident in how the doors fit. Some shimming is not unusual to get the right fit. Precision is not required.
