Topic: 1953 F100 Wiring Harness Replacement

My original wires on my '53 F100 are crumbling and I'm looking for a quality 6 volt replacement harness made in the USA that doesn't break the truck budget. Would really appreciate some good references, tips and experiences. Thanks for taking time to reply.

Ya gotta make up your mind... quality or budget?

I got mine from Rhode Island Wiring Service, Inc. They are pricey, but you get what you pay for, and they work closely with you to make sure you get what you want. All of the connectors are soldered, and they supply copious wiring diagrams which really help to make the job easier. I had them include non-standard wiring in my harness so I could use my my stop and parking lights for turn signals (my '51 truck originally used fender mounted turn signal lights). This required changing the parking light sockets which they supplied. They also have universal column mounted turn signal switches that can be supplied with the appropriate type and color coded wiring.
