Hi, while I was installing new wires for the taillights, I saw that the brake carrier plate on the left side is missing a segment of circle (about 1/2" by 2") of material below the adjustment screw. Don't ask me why, but It look like straight cut.The function of the brake is ok. I had a look in several online catalogs from MAC or Carpenter or LMC. All parts for brakes are avaliable except the brake plate carrier. The part no. is 2260. Does somebody of you have a spare one in good conditions for a 1952 Ford F1 with 3.92 axle ratio and is willing to ship to Germany or know a source for this part. Please contact me. miwi: I'm not sure what you mean by a brake "carrier plate". I'm going to assume that you mean what we call a "backing plate", but I'm not aware of a removable plate section on any of the Ford backing plates. Perhaps you could post a photo of the missing section, as that might "ring a bell" for some of us.

I would expect that sometime in the past that the rear hub went astray for some reason and the backing plate slid on the pavement creating a flat spot on the bottom.It wouldn't be a problem functionally.
