Does anyone know where to find the frame numbers on a '35 pick up?

Since the 35 pickup shared frames with the entire passenger car line, I believe that
they would be stamped in the same locations. About the only accessible location without removing the cab will be in the area between the front crossmember, and the front cab
mounting bolts on the top left-hand frame flange.

These numbers are usually very lightly stamped thin figures, and you may have to gently sand the top of the frame rail with 000 wet or dry paper to make them visible. They begin and end with a "star". If you have the cab and bed off, there may be other, more protected locations on the top of the left hand frame top. In addition, if the truck has its' original transmission, there should be a matching number stamped near the top
of the transmission bell.

Most 35-36 Fords have the number stamped near the steering box bracket, but as Stroker has said it could be anywhere between the firewall and the front crossmenber. If the cab and bed are off you might find a number about mid frame and on the "kickup" of the rear part of the frame. Both numbers in on the top of the left frame rail.
