There is a full explanation in the excellent Club 1941-48 book. The middle line to the left of "Ford" indicates the month the glass was produced, starting with "A" for January. The two letters to the right of "Ford" are read the same way, but identify the year of production, thus "DA" would decode as 41. This information will give you a "ballpark" idea of the build time, but remember that the glass was produced well before assembly of your truck, at least weeks or months. There is usually no definitive way of pinning down the build date, as the serial number on the frame will only provide whether it was an early or late job.

Sometimes the build date was stamped on the middle of the cowl in the engine compartment. I'll give you an example and decode it for you. Keep in mind that all factories may not have stamped the build date on the cowl and that the numbers stamped on the cowl do not follow a standard pattern.

My truck has SR1M23G663 stamped on the cowl. This decodes as: S=Somerville, MA, R=8 cylinder 239 V-8, 1=F-1, M=Meadow Green, 23G=July 23 (23rd day of the 7th (G) month - the build date), Unit no.=663. (The unit number was an internal plant assigned number used to keep up with plant production.) Note that when substituting letters for numbers, i.e., G=7, they skipped I (eye) so as not confuse it with 1 (one).
