The serial number on the plate attached on the passenger side near the hood latch is 98rc339213 but the number on the driver side frame near the crossing is in 2 parts 210 closest to the cab 50873 closest to the grill. I am not absoultey sure of the botton number because i rubbed it with a pencil but the 210 is for sure. Does this mean the frame is not original? Thanks for all the help. Steve

Sorry again. A little background info. My 18 year son found thhis 1950 F1 and feel in love with it. It is our project and our first priority is to make it safe. I have gotten alot of valuable info on this site and was just wondering about the serial numbers. We know what ther serial number on plate means but was wondering about the frame stamp. Thanks for the reply. Steve

The serial number on the frame should be on the top of the right side frame rail behind the radiator. Richard
