Is it posable to change out a crankshaft pully without pulling out the raidator? It's a 35 pickup with a 40 block Thanks Dave

I would think that would not be a problem if there is NOT some kind of special pulley, removing the starter ,would make the job easier,for removing the crankshaft ratchet nut and for retorquing, it,,you can hold the flywheel with pry bar, Have a helper. and make sure pulley nut is tight,!!! hope this helps 37RAGTOPMAN an KEEP on FORDIN,,!!!!

It will depend on the clearance between the pulley and the front crossmember and radiator, as your engine isn't stock. If the pulley comes loose and slides forward on the crank, you will soon know if it has clearance. If you encounter the need for more, you can release the front motor mounts and raise the engine with a large board under the oil pan and a jack. That would require pulling the radiator, which makes the job easier, anyway. Some pulleys come off easily, others need "persuasion".

Thanks for the info I'll be pulling the radiator. don't want to risk the damage to the expensive part.
