According to Lorin Sorensen's The Commerical Fords book, 67,163 standard pickups and 2570 deluxe pickups were produced.

As to knowing what number pickup you have you would have to look at the engine serial number -- also on the front frame rail (driver's side) and then all you could possibly find out is about what month your vehicle was produced. Ford did not record vehicle numbers like they do now.
Engine numbers for 1936 start with 18-2503758 and end with 18-3216674 (according to Francis and DeAngelis' The Early Ford V-8 As Henry Built It. The book has the numbers broken down by month. If you know your number, it could be determined what month your pickup was produced, but not what number your pickup is in the overall production of pickups.

According to the Early V-8 Album put out by the V-8 Club there were 67,163 standard pickups produced. There were 2570 deluxe pickups.
The only way to tell approximately when your truck was built is by the ID or VIN number. The VIN is a sequential production number. It will will tell you when the motor/transmission assembly left the Rouge plant. The number was stamped on the transmission case just above the cxlutch inspection cover. Once the motor was put into a frame the number on the transmision was stamped on the frame rail. There is some lag time from when the motor left the Rouge plant and when it arrived at one of the assembly plants. As you can see you will only get a rough idea of when your truck was built.
