I just watched a youtube video where a guy has a black '36 Ford sedan that he drives regularly. He mentioned the car has the original mechanical brakes and someone before him added "brake extenders" on the push mechanism for the brake shoe. Is there a source for these "extenders"? I'm just now getting back to my 1935 Ford pickup that I've hauled around for over 50 years and now want to work on it. It is a basket case but it runs, is ALL original, and I have the title. I'm am not going to make a show car out of it, as I have a limited budget. My brother and I had a '36 Ford pickup when we were in high school that we learned on, we even took the engine out of my dad's '46 Ford grain truck when we blew up our engine!

The original 35 brake system does not use anything called "Brake extenders" . Aftermarket brake energizers, equalizers or floaters are often adapted and used on the brake system for 35-38 but these were not offered by Ford. They can help the brake system and adjustment They come from a few different suppliers with slightly different styles all with the same idea.
