I looked through some of the exiting posts on rear axle issues, mostly "how tight". I'm ready to open it up again, but I may not know what to look for. The back side of the seal looks damaged. (dinged, metal not smooth). I don't think that would cause the hub to go on too far. The symptom is that the nut goes/will go on too far. I have a new fiber washer seal to install, but it is not going to make up the difference. The issue is on the driver side, the right side looks just right. The nut is not as tight yet as described in other posts, yet the nut is almost in too far for the cotter pin. What do I look for? thanks, Brad
