With your help its seams to now ok.
Next problems on my 1940 Fire Truck 95 hp
It will sometimes slip on the clutch plates on fourth gear, especially when it gets hot i think.

if you have the correct amount of clutch free play in the pedal and clutch slips in high gear it is time to replace the clutch, give JOBLOT a call for a price on the CLUTCH KIT,they sell,
also make sure there is no oil on it,
if there is you will have to find out why,
hope this helps 37RAGTOPMAN KEEP ON TRUCKIN,,,

Truck clutches tend to have a short life, in any case, from being overloaded. Be sure that your truck has the correct pressure plate and disc. The size may vary from 9 to 11 inches, with trucks on the high end of that range. Usually we find that the flywheel surface has been scored or burned. In either case, it should be resurfaced, or the new disc will be compromised. All clutch linkage, clevises, bushings and pins must be in good condition to permit accurate adjustment of the free play at the pedal of about 1.5 inches. The clutch arms swing out as the speed increases, and the free space is necessary to prevent unintended clutch release.
