Anyone know of a source of replacement wheels (preferably originals) for my 1948 Ford F-r1? I bought a new set of 16-6.50 tube type tires and then discovered that some of the rims are rusted beyonnd repair.

Your current wheels are probably 16X5 so you do have options for new wheels. Wheel Vintiques or Wheel Smith can build you new wheels with the correct bolt pattern and will use the stock hubcaps. Both have websites. Used wheels are out there, but you will need to shop for them and I would recommend you look at them in person. With used wheels bent rims or worn lug holes can cause you problems.

  Hi Mario,
I MAY have a couple, possibly three. But, I'm thinking they may be a bit later models - not sure. If you care to send me your eddress, I will plan to send close-up pictures that I have filed away. I know they have the 'Ford' logo stamped on them. If I remember correctly, the number '22' is also stamped on them.
