Brake Problems on my 1 1/2 ton Ford Truck
I have to pump up pressure with pedal. The pressure keeps close but after some secunds i can tread on the bottom again.
Has vented system several times but to no avail. can not find any leaks.
can it be the master cylinder which is tightly sealed?
Someone who had the same problem

When the master cylinder is first beginning to fail, you will be able to pump the pedal and get brakes.

If your brakes were working and the pedal was firm before the failure, your master cylinder is probably the culprit.

If you just rebuilt the system, you may still have air in the system.

As said, if you had a good "pedal" before the problem began, it is likely a failing master cylinder. There is a valve in the unit which retains a "residual" pressure so you don't have to pump the pedal after it has been released. If the pedal has always been "spongy", there is air in the lines. Old Ford brakes can be tricky to bleed, and while pumping and bleeding the wheel cylinders should eventually work, a pressure bleeder will save lots of time and fluid. I've seen cars that required a gallon of fluid without it.
