I have a slight whine in the rear end on acceleration and deceleration on my 1950 sedan. Anybody know what causes it? My other 1950 sedan's rear is quiet.Is there an easy fix?? This message was edited by sarahcecelia on 2-23-17 @ 3:48 AM

The large nut that retains the driveshaft yoke to the pinion gear may have come loose. You can try tightening it to the proper torque to reduce or eliminate the noise. You will have to remove the rear portion of the driveshaft to gain access to this large nut.
